The Northern third of the Belgravian Island, which was a separate country until Marcus I (an Aerlander) took the throne of the Belgravian Republic (after the death of Octavia I) and united the two into a single Empire. Its a cold, mountainous, rocky land, with great peat filled moors between it and the rest of the Island. It has only one major port (Bantrax), which previously served as its capital, and lots of rocky cliffs and shores that are a navigational hazard to ships passing thru the Cold Sea. Aerland is known for its wool, which is exported worldwide.
