Research (Logic Skill)

This is the basic skill of the use and retrieval of information from book libraries, newspaper morgues, file systems and other repositories of information. It includes the ability to filter thru related documents, books and files to find significantly connected facts that are useful to build a streamlined information source

on a specific subject, hypothesis or event.

Librarians, reporters, statisticians, lawyers, research scientists, most college faculty members and writers all really need this skill as part of their basic skill set to perform their jobs, as do many other professions.

The less well organized a collection of information is the more difficult using this skill becomes, so a totally unorganized mound of materials will have penalties, while a well cross indexed library will have no such penalties.
