This is the use of any kind of camera device, with in Zamani the emphasis being entirely on film/cellulose recording of images to preserve what is captured by the camera lens. It includes an understanding of the device, it's limits and rudimentary needs like loading film, use of focus and various lenses, exposure times, light needs and uses, and basic developing techniques.

In a moder modern setting it would include camera 'tricks', photo touchup and use of more modern digital camera forms.
