(Creative Skill)

This is the skill of using wet coloring materials upon a variety of solid surfaces, including application, mixing, contrast, color mixture and the use of such to produce works of visual art or to enhance/protect a surface from the elements and normal light.

Both artistic and 'practical' painting (housepainting etc.) are covered under this single skill. It includes the use a tempura, oil, acrylic, watercolor and other types of paint, and a wide number of surface materials (paper, canvas, cloth, wood, plaster, metal and even plastic if the culture has access to these materials).

Drawing is usually also possessed as a skill, for laying out preliminary sketches for artistic painting efforts that are meant to represent the real world, symbols or other substant forms.
