Blimps are relatively new vehicles in Jarro, and unheard of by the natives of the other worlds of Zamani. They have only recently moved from the position of a prototype device to a functional device, and are primarily the sort of things that governments and the very wealthy own because of the high cost of the materials involved in their construction.

(Derrigibles, also known as Airships, are the next step up, and can at this time only be owned by a government and not by an individual by any means).

Most Blimps in Jarro are designed for a 6 person crew, with about 500 lbs of cargo space. They can reach a top speed of about 50 mph and have a fuel range that has a max range 1000 miles. Smaller shorter range ones exist, as do ones with less crew needs. The standard design assumes that there is a pilot, navigator, radio operator, engineer and two general crewmen (though it's possible to operate with with just a pilot who is trained as a navigator for short flights if nothing goes wrong).
