Bitter Personality (Major Unfavorable Trait)
A character with this trait has become soured on people in general. They've been hurt, put down, bashed on, or maligned so many times in life that they have lost all optimism and cannot help but feel that everyone tries to exploit everyone in life and that nearly everyone is here to torment them.
The exception, maybe, are the extreme naive optimists, young children and people who have been through as much terror and pain as they have. And even these folks they can't stand to be in the presence of too much.
If they have family members they may also exclude them, but then again, they may treat them as even worse, if they perceive them as the source of what has happened to them in life.
A character with this trait gets a -5 to the base of all Influence Skills. They get a +5 to their Spirit in defense against any Influence skill used against them.
If religious, they are probably affiliated with one of the more solitary and non-socially oriented deities, probably one that gives obvious hard benefits that they can use and with limited or obvious prices for power or benefit.
They should not take traits like Overly Charitable, Gullible, Pessimist or Patriotic. They should generally not be a member of any religious magical organization, and will avoid affiliation with any major organization or group in general.
This trait is generally NOT recommended for most player characters, and the GM can limit such if they so choose, unless the player has a concept of a complex story (such as a 'redemption' tale or something).
