(Severe Unfavorable Trait)

 

Banes, in Zamani, are generally found among characters with a Mystic Heritage but may be part of the traits of a Magical Accident or the distaff side of a Divine Gift.

 

A Bane is usually a specific substance, such as a type of metal, wood, etc. that when used as a weapon against the character does twice the damage than is normal for a weapon of the type involved. So if the character has a Bane to Silver, then a silver plated dagger that normally does damage base 3 does instead damage base 6 (as if they had been struck by a sword like a Katanna).
